Ghanaian midfielder Mubarak Wakaso won the midfield battle against compatriot Baba Mohammed as the pair faced off against each other in the top-flight league in Spain

Wakaso helped guided Alaves to a 2-0 win over RCD Mallorca and lasted the whole 90 minutes and was as usual cautioned in the first half of the match

Baba Rahman missed the match for RCD Mallorca following his recent injury whiles compatriot Lumor Agbenyenu remained on the bench throughout the contest

Baba Mohammed lasted 77 minutes of the match for RCD Mallorca as well before he was replaced

Alaves came to the match hoping to make amends for their disappointing 0-3 defeat against Real Sociedad whiles Mallorca also came to the match following a 0-2 defeat at home to Atletico Madrid

Alaves took the lead in the 76th minute after Lucas Perez calmly converted from the spot before Joselu made it 2-0 for Alaves with four minutes to end proceedings

Alaves sits 14th on the table after seven games to the season with eight points. Next is an away encounter against Valencia on Saturday, October 5
