Europe: Black stars defender Joseph Aidoo Jnr suffers defeat with Celta Vigo against Eibar in the Spanish la liga

It was a tough afternoon for Black stars defender Joseph Aidoo Jnr at the heart of defence for Celta Vigo as they were beaten 2-0 by Eibar in the top-flight league in Spain

The defender was fortunate not to have scored an own goal after a deflected shot off him into the back of the net was ruled out for offside as he went on to play the entire minutes of the match

Celta Vigo came into the encounter after a 1-1 draw at home against Espanyol whiles Eibar came to the game a 3-0 win over Sevilla

Eibar took the lead two minutes into the second half of the match through Spanish midfielder Edu Exposito before Japanese midfielder Takashi Inui had a goal ruled out by VAR

Chilean midfielder Fabian Orellana made it 2-0 for Eibar at the hour mark of the game

Spanish forward Iago Aspas missed from the spot kick in stoppage time as Celta Vigo lost by 0-2 to Eibar

Celta Vigo sits 17th on the table after seven matches with six points. Next is a Sunday clash against Athletic Bilbao at home on October 6
