Black Stars left back Baba Abdul Rahman has been ruled out for up to three months after suffering a partial rupture to the lateral ligament tear in his right knee
The defender suffered the injury over the weekends in La Liga action for club Real Mallorca in their away encounter against Getafe as early as the 18th minute of the match
Baba Rahman is on loan with the Spanish outfit from English club Chelsea
According to media reports in the Spain, the defender is set to be out for close to three months after further medical tests were carried out in Palma
The injury has as well ruled the defender out of also Ghana’s international games in November
The senior national team are scheduled to play their first two games in the 2021 Africa Cup on Nations qualifiers against South Africa and Sudan in November
The injury means RCD Mallorca will have to rely on fellow compatriot Lumor Agbenyenu who is also on loan from Portuguese side Sporting Lisbon
Baba Abdul Rahman only made a return to full fitness early this year following a cruciate ligament damage he suffered in 2017 which ruled him out for 15 months
