EGYPT U-23: Black Meteors Books their Spot in the Most Dramatic Fashion

Black Meteors have qualified for the age restricted tournament in Egypt. The 2019 CAF U-23 Championship.

After playing a disappointing 1-1 draw in Ghana, the players obviously chose the hardest way to qualify. It was as if the players had reserved their energy for the return leg as they brought their A game to bear.

They were rampantly positive, dominated with grit and panache and above all played with passion.

Captain Yaw Yeboah scored the only goal on the 69th minute to put the Ghanaians ahead on aggregate (2-1) and that goal was the difference after regulation time. A special goal from a special man.

Tactician Ibrahim Tanko and his charges will now compete in the tournament in Egypt, there, they’ll now have the Herculean task of qualifying for the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan.
