Ghanaian defender Mohammed Salisu scored his first goal for Southampton in their EFL Cup glory against Sheffield United on Tuesday

The 22 year old Ghanaian centre back scored 53rd minute of the game to put his side ahead before the home side fought back to earn a draw

The Saints progressed to the next stage of the competition through penalty shootout beating their opponents 4-2

The goal is his first in six appearances so far this season for Southampton and he has been a stalwart at the back line for the South Coast club
