CHAN Qualifier: We were not lucky in front of goal against Burkina Faso says Skipper Abdul Shafiu Mumuni

Captain for Black stars B team Abdul Shafiu Mumuni says his side weren’t lucky in front of goal against their fellow West African neighbours Burkina Faso in the 2020 CHAN Qualifier on Sunday at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium

The forward said they did all they could to score but luck eluded them at the end of the day

The team were let down following a late goal scored by Stephane Yannick to give Burkina Faso a 1-0 victory in the first leg of the Qualifier at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium

“We weren’t lucky on the day because we did everything possible to score”

“But, we were just not lucky to see all our efforts gone begging”… Shafiu Mumuni said as he told the media at the post match conference

“As the captain and the leading striker I’m very worried not to have scored a goal

The team will have to be at their very best when their visit Ouagadougou come 20th October, 2019 for the return leg of the encounter
