CAFCC: FC Sandro vs Kumasi Asante Kotoko Sc – Match Preview

FC San Pedro will today play host to Kumasi Asante Kotoko in the Caf Confederation Cup return leg at the Houphouet Boigny Stadium in Abidjan.

The first leg at the Baba Yara Stadium was troubled with rain and was played over two days where Asante Kotoko were a bit lucky to have won narrowly through a spot kick in the dying embers.

If the Porcupine Warriors’ away performance is anything to go by then they are hanging by a thread and certainly don’t have even the slightest of chances to go pass San Pedro.

Frighteningly so, Kotoko are consistent in the manner they usually capitulate away from home. They conceded three goals at Kano Pillers and same at Etoile Du Sahel and got eliminated from the CAF champions league.

The Caf Confederation Cup is a competition former coach C.K Akonnor led them all the way in the 2018/19 season and coach Kjetil Zachariassen will need to improve upon the previous outing.

But coach Zachariassen and is his crew have a daunting task ahead of them, particularly the former who has attracted the vexation of a cross section of the club’s top hierarchy and especially the fans with some comments he made post Caf Champions League elimination.

Nothing shot of a win will suffice the fans who are already yearning for the club to sack him.

Kickoff time is 4pm.
