CAFCC: FC Sandro Early and Late Goals Knocks Asante Kotoko Out of Confederation Cup

FC San Pedro has knocked out Kumasi Asante Kotoko from this year’s CAF Confederation Cup after a 2-0 win at the Houphouet Boigny Stadium in Abidjan.

The Porcupine Warriors’ one goal lead in the first leg was leveled by an early first half goal by the Ivorians.

Coach Kjetil Zachariassen and his crew were able to soak the pressure whiles also looking for an opportunity to pounce on San Pedro but it didn’t really pay off.

The final straw that broke the camel’s back occurred on the 88th minute when the home side scored the all important goal to earn an aggregate lead of 2-1.

Asante Kotoko could not replicate their last year’s exploits as they got eliminated even earlier time around.

This also means coach Kjetil Zachariassen’s fate is in the balance.
