The second half became more thrilling as Volta region chased the equalizer and Upper West also hoping for a cushioner. Volta region got rewarded for their resilience in the second half as they scored late into the end of the match to earn a hard fought draw against Upper West

Volta region won the match on a 3-0 penalties after Upper West missed all three penalties

Another event on the day was a hockey girls match between Upoer West region and Brong Ahafo region. It was another bad day in office for Team Upper West Hockey female team as they lost 2-1 against their opponents to record their second consecutive defeat in two events on the day
