Big Blow; Daniel Amartey set for further surgery on troublesome ankle

Title chasing Leicester City have been dealt further blow as Ghanaian defender, Daniel Amartey set to undergo surgery on troubling ankle injury

The 25 year old centre back is yet to feature for the club this season after suffering a long term injury in the 2018/19 premier league season

In a press conference ahead of Leicester City’s Saturday home encounter against resurgencing Southampton, manager Brendan Rodgers revealed to the media of the situation of the Ghanaian defender

“Daniel will probably be in for an operation early next week,” Rodgers added. “It’s been unfortunate he hasn’t featured for me after the ankle injury he had.

“He will be in early next week for some more surgery on a bone in his ankle.”
