Ghana premier league giants Kumasi Asante Kotoko have confirmed the capture of goalkeepers trainer Issah Najahu from fellow premier league side Legon Cities Football Club
The experienced trainer has been with Legon Cities Football Club for over a decade dating back to their days as Wa All-Stars Football Club where he was a player before taking up the role of goalkeepers trainer
Issah Najahu has signed a three year contract with the Porcupine Warriors ahead of the new football season following his departure from Legon Cities Football Club
The former Real Tamale United goalkeeper has served as the keepers trainer at all levels of the women’s national team as well as the Black Stars B and the national U-20 side before his appointment as the keepers trainer of the senior national team
Issah Najahu has had success stories with the development of most of the promising goalkeepers in the country including Black Stars first choice goalkeeper Richard Ofori, World U-20 World Cup winners Robert Dabuo and Joseph Addo, Eric Antwi of Medeama SC and Razak Abalora among others in the local league
The license A coach was part of the technical team of Wa All-Stars in their historic win of the Ghana Premier League in 2016 and has won two gold medals with the Black Stars B team in their victories in the WAFU Tournament
