Asante Kotoko Confirms Portuguese Trainer As Their New Head Coach

Ghana premier league giants Asante Kotoko have confirmed Portuguese coach Mariano Barreto as their new head coach

The former Black Stars gaffer has made a return to the country after seventeen years of leaving the nation

Mariano Barreto is coming in as replacement for coach Abdul Gazelle who has been the interim coach of the club after they parted ways with coach Maxwell Konadu

The Portuguese trainer was in charge of the Black Stars and Black Meteors in 2003 but left his job just after nine months of taking the job

He is expected to come in with his own assistant coach who will double as his video analysts as well
