ALL IS SET FOR THE MAIDEN EDITION OF THE JUVENILE LEAGUE IN THE UPPER WEST REGION

All is set for the commencement of the maiden edition of the Juvenile league in the Upper West Region,with 21 Juvenile clubs confirming their participation.

The Ghana Football Association on Wednesday, April 28, 2021, launched the Juvenile football season.

The GFA intends to use the season to identify promising talents to mark the start of a long term developemental project of churning out baked players for the various national teams.

The UWRFA held a meeting at their secretariat with some representation of the Juvenile league clubs in the region to demystify the modalities and format of the league .

The Juvenile league in will be structured into two zones with 16 of the clubs divided into three groups forming the Wa zone while the remaining 5 clubs will battle it out in the Tumu zone

The fifth team from the Tumu Zone is yet to confirm their readiness but have expressed interest in the past of participating.

The Juvenile league is set to kick start this coming weekend with two matches slated for sunday for both U -15 and 17

The Wa sports stadium will host all matches in the Wa Zone while Tumu will play host to all the teams in that zone.
