Africa: Richard Ofori named MVP in Maritzburg United stalemate against Stellenbosch

Black stars goalkeeper and Maritzburg United captain Richard Ofori was instrumental and was at his usual best making dozens of saves to keep his side in the game through out the entire duration of the game away from home to newly promoted Absa premiership side Stellenbosch

Maritzburg United dominated proceedings but lacked the cutting edge to win the game as Stellenbosch goalkeeper stood tall in the game to prevent them from hitting the back of the net

Both sides failed to hit the back of the net as the game ended goalless. The two teams are still waiting for their first three points and win of the new Absa premier league

Richard Ofori earned his first clean sheet of the new season conceding only two goals so far in the process

Maritzburg United sits 13th on the table with two points after three games into the new campaign. Next for them is a home clash with Black Leopards on Wednesday August 28
