Ghana has been dealt a huge injury blow as midfielder Mubarak Wakaso suffered a fresh injury which will likely rule him out of the Black Stars’ Afcon qualifiers against South Africa and Sao Tome and Principe this month

The Alaves midfielder suffered a fracture to the metacarpus of his right hand over the weekend in their 4-2 defeat to Osasuna on Sunday in the Spanish top-flight league

The midfielder will undergo surgery today to determine the extent of injury and how long he will be out of action
