The defender was linked with a moce away from the King Power Stadium with championship side Fulham and premier league new boys Sheffield United among suitors for him as he seek more playing time
He suffered a career threatening injury last season in a match against West Ham United but has returned to training during the pre season period but has since not made a match day squad for Brendan Rodgers’ team this season
The inclusion in the 25 man squad is of a big relieve for the player who is seeking for a chance to return to active play having fully recovered from his lengthy spells on the sidelines
