Black Stars Captain Andre Dede Ayew suffers exit from Championship play-offs with Swansea City

Captain of the Black Stars Andre Dede Ayew season with Swansea city came to a disappointing end in the ongoing Skybet Championship playoffs with a 3-1 defeat to Brentford in the semifinals.

The defeat saw Swansea’s hopes of returning to the English premier league shattered for the season with Brentford winning the tie on a 3-2 aggregate after Swansea City won the first leg with a lone goal through Andre Ayew at the Liberty stadium.

Andre Ayew ended the season on a career best goal contribution with 16 goals and 7 assists in 46 appearances in the Skybet championship this season.

Brentford are now set to play the winner of the other tie between Cardiff City and Fulham tomorrow in the final of this years playoffs to see who gets to join Leeds United and West Bromwich Albion who qualified automatically via the league standings.

The final of the championship playoffs final will be played on Tuesday 4th August at Wembley stadium.
