Italian forward Fabio Quagliarella scored a consolation goal for Sampdoria from the spot kick in the 67th minute of the match

Alfred Duncan was replaced by Italian midfielder Luca Mazzitelli with eleven minutes left on the clock

Sassuolo sits 11th on the table with three points after match day two of the Italian top-flight league
