Africa: Egyptian Legend Hassan Shehata appointed as Egypt head coach
The Egyptian FA has appointed legend Hassan Shehata as new head coach for the senior national team
His appointment became obvious after the sacking of Mexican coach Javier Aguirre following Egypt’s abysmal performance at home in last month’s nations cup where they suffered a shocking elimination in the round of 16 at the competition to South Africa
The 72 years gaffer has previously had stints with the national team guiding them to a record three consecutive Afcon titles in 2006, 2008 and 2010
He has also had stints with Al Mokawloon, Al Arab SC, Al Arabi and Zamalek
