Ghanaian international Maxwell Boadu Acosty was in scintillating form of his side HNK Rijeka in the Europa league qualifier against Belgian side KAA Gent
HNK Rijeka lost the first leg away from home by 2-1 and needed to perform beyond expectations on the night to have a chance of participating in the competition this season
The home side took the lead in the 31st minute of the match through Croatian forward Jakov Puljic and was assisted by the Ghanaian international
KAA Gent responded quickly in the set back two minutes after conceding with the equalizer from Ukrainian defender Igor Plastun as the game ended in a 1-1 stalemate
KAA Gent qualified for the group stages of the competition on a 3-2 aggregate win and awaits their group opponents on Friday, August 30th when the draw is conducted
