Tokyo 2020: Advantage Ghana as Black Queens thrashed Gabon 3-0 in Libreville

Black Queens took a huge step in their quest to qualify for the Olympic games in Tokyo next year with a resounding 3-0 win against their Gabonese counterparts in the first leg of the qualifier away from home in Libreville

The home side continued their poor losing streaks at home on the afternoon as they lost their home game to Congo in the first round qualifiers before beating them in Congo to progress to the second stage of qualifier

Mad. Mercy Tagoe side were in scintillating form and outclassed their opponents in the quarters of the game

Juliet Acheampong opened the scoring in the 45th minute of the match before Portia Boakye and Priscilla Okyere both netted in the 70th and 90th minutes respectively to earn the Black Queens a convincing victory ahead of the second leg in Ghana a fortnight later
