Afcon U-23: Black Meteors to face South Africa in the third place play-off

The Black Meteors of Ghana will on Friday, November 22 face South Africa in the third place play-off for the on-going Afcon U-23 tournament in Egypt

The Black Meteors failed to make it to the finals of the competition after losing 2-3 on penalties to Ivory Coast following a 2-2 stalemate in regulation time

South Africa on the other hand got walloped 3-0 by host Egypt in the second semi-finals encounter of the competition

Both Ivory Coast and Egypt have booked their tickets to next year’s Olympics in Tokyo

The Black Meteors will have to beat South Africa on Friday to have a chance of making it to the Olympics games in Tokyo as they will have to play in a qualifier play-off with an Asian country as well
