BREAKING: Ghanaian Midfielder Kingsley Sarfo Release from Prison Today

Ghana and Malmö FF winger Kingsley Sarfo has been released from prison in Sweden after almost two years of incarceration.

The Ghana international was arrested and incarcerated for a defilement case filed against him by his girlfriend.

At a point the winger was released from prison, suspended from playing for Malmö FF and set to be deported to Ghana but was re-arrested again and sentenced to two years and half years in prison.

Sarfo’s legal representatives uncovered new evidence which pointed to the fact that the lady in question who’s also a Ghanaian was not a minor as she claimed to be. That gave a whole new dimension to the case which led to the release of the footballer.

The midfielder has been released from prison today and is safely at home with his family. He’s also free to play football again according to the ruling.

Sarfo is the second Ghanaian to be jailed in the Scandinavian country after Kwame Bonsu went through similar ordeal and was deported as a result.
