Black Stars new boy, Mohammed Salisu is set to miss Ghana’s double header encounters between South Africa and Sao Tome and Principe due to an injury he sustained over the weekend in the Spanish top-flight league
The 20 year old defender earned his maiden call-up to the Black Stars but will now have to wait till next year should he fail to recover in time to join his colleagues in camp
The injury situation was announced by his club ahead of the international break
“Salisu will have to wait for his debut with the Ghanaian national team,” Valladolid announced on their official website
“The left-back, who has had a dragging back discomfort for several weeks, reported sharp pain in the lower back after the game against Deportivo Alavés that requires sports rest”
The defender might still join the Black Stars depending on the severity of the injured sustained over the weekend
