CAFCC EXIT: Coach Kjetil Zachariassen Declared Persona non grata by Asante Kotoko

Management of Kumasi Asante Kotoko has informed head coach Kjetil Zachariassen not to return to Kumasi due to the tension in town, that’s according to his agent Charles Kouadio.

The agent also revealed that the tactician has been asked by the management to resign following their painful exit.

The supporters who traveled by road to Abidjan for the return leg registered their displeasure to the defeat and even tried to beat up some of the members of the management team and players alike.

In an interview with Oyerepa fm, a local radio station in Kumasi, Charles Kouadio said “The management called me after the game to ask me to talk to Zachariassen that they cannot guarantee his security in Kumasi for now and I agreed with them because we all saw the reactions of the fans after the game; and they are right to react that way because everyone wanted the team to qualify,”

“So I told Zachariassen what Kotoko told me and he accepted. So as I speak, he is in his house in Abidjan. He has a house in Abidjan,” he added.
