Afcon U23: Black Meteors head coach Ibrahim Tanko announce squad ahead of tournament in Egypt

Head coach of the Ghana U23 team Ibrahim Tanko has released a 21-man squad for the upcoming U23 Africa Cup of Nations Championship in Egypt this month

The squad comprises eleven foreign based players and ten local based players with notably exclusion of midfield dynamo Majeed Ashimeru and left back Gideon Mensah as their respective European clubs have refused to release them ahead of the competition

Ghana premier league giants Accra Hearts of Oak and Kumasi Asante Kotoko have combined five players on the list with two and three players respectively

The tournament begins from the 8-22 of November in Egypt
