GFA Decides: Eastern Regional FA Chairman Linford Boadu Asamoah voted onto the GFA Executive Council
Newly elected Eastern Regional Football Association Chairman Linford Boadu Asamoah has been elected onto the Ghana Football Association Executive Council after beating off competition from a host of Regional Football Association Chairmen
Mr. Linford Boadu Asamoah booked the one of the two contesting slots for the Ghana Football Association Executive Council position after amassing five votes to beat off seven other contestants in the race
The remaining one slot for the Regionsl Football Association’s on the Executive Council could not be determined after three rounds of elections which failed to produce a winner on the day
Upper East RFA Chhairman Salifu Zida and Robert Duncan of the Central region went three rounds tying at 4 votes each
After two ties in the election to elect representatives of the RFAs to the Executive Council, another election will be held on Friday 25th October in accordance with Article 30.8 of the GFA Statutes. The Candidates are Robert Duncan and Salifu Zida
The Ghana Football Association therefore called the elections off to reassemble on Friday October 25
