Featured: A word of caution to delegates ahead of the Regional Football Association elections in the Upper West Region

The race to lead the Upper West Regional Football Association is at the climax as we are three days away from the elections

The chairmanship is been contested by three aspirants with two new members contesting against incumbent

Incumbent Alhaji Daudi Yahaya Saadugu Biyad will go to polls against former vice chairman and retired FIFA referee Naa Hamidu Seidu Bomison and former regional PE Coordinator of the region

With vote buying common in our country delegates should be cautious of their decisions ahead of the upcoming elections but should go in for the rightful candidate for the benefit of the whole region as a whole rather than serving their own personal interest

Delegates who invest resources in football shouldn’t be fooled by any dubious promises from the candidates and should vote based on what all candidates can do and what is good for the footballing fraternity in the region

With numerous promises flying in from all three candidates, delegates should wise up and rather look at the message delivered to them on the long term run

With other candidates promising delegates amount of Gh¢200 and footballs for votes and others promising Gh¢500, footballs and set of football jerseys it is my plead that delegates should rather vote based on policies and developmental innovations

The question is, will those items and monies sustain delegates and their clubs throughout the tenure of office of those candidates

Club owners should vote based on the policies and developmental innovations that will go a long way to enhancing their clubs and the football fraternity in the region at large
