Europe: Christian Atsu cameos as Newcastle United record their second win of the season against struggling Manchester United

Black stars winger Christian Atsu made a late appearance in the match as Newcastle United earned a famous victory over struggling Manchester United on Sunday evening in the English premier league

Atsu came on with seven minutes left on the clock to end the match for French forward Allan Saint-Maximin

The win is Steve Bruce first victory over Manchester United as a manager in over 20 encounters against them and also Newcastle’s second league win of the season same as struggling Manchester United

After chances for both sides to score before the first half of the match the first half ended goalless

English youngster Matthew Longstaff scored the only goal of the match in the 72nd minute of the game to win Newcastle United all three points as they leapfrog the bottom three to 16th on the table one point behind Manchester United in 12th position

Longstaff now becomes Newcastle youngest player to score on his premier league debut at the age of 19 years ,199 days

The defeat means Manchester United have now gone eight premier league away matches without a win for the first time in the premier league history as well as their longest away winless run since 1989 in a run of 11 matches
