2019 WAFU: Black Stars ‘B’ Wins Narrowly to Secure All Maximum Points
The Ghana Black Stars B has started their WAFU title defense on a good note after defeating Gambia by a lone goal in Senegal.
Though they were in complete control of the game, dominating possession and nullifying any threat from the Gambians, yet they fail to score in the first half.
The opening exchanges of the second half saw the Ghanaians pile more pressure on the Gambians and on the 66th minute it yielded dividend as Joseph Esso scored the only goal that went on to decide the game.
The Black Stars B are through to the quarter-finals and will face Burkina Faso who recently beat them in Kumasi in a CHAN qualifier a few weeks ago.
Joseph Esso was voted as the man of the match.
