Pyramids FC needed to avoid defeat away from home to have the chance of progressing to the final qualifying round of the competition whiles CR Belouizdad also had to avoid defeat at home to advance to the final round of qualifiers

The first leg of the encounter ended in a 1-1 draw in Egypt before the return leg in Algeria on Sunday afternoon

Forward John Antwi scored the only goal of the thrilling encounter in the 57th minute of the match to earn a narrow win for Pyramids FC in Algeria

Pyramids FC advanced to the last round of qualifier with a 2-1 aggregate win over CR Belouizdad
