CAFCL: Major Boost for Kotoko as Etoile Sacks Coach

Etoile Sportive Du Sahel have terminated their contract with coach Faouzi Benzarti ahead of the return leg with Asante Kotoko in the Caf Champions League.

Faouzi and the Tunisian giants parted ways by mutual consent after he being in charge for just a little over two months.

Etoile acquired Faouzi’s services in July to obviously help improve the club’s current situation but things didn’t quite work to plan.

Since his appointment he has only managed to win only once in seven matches. Drawing another one and losing five.

This and other issues compelled the club’s top hierarchy to sack coach Faouzi despite the club’s champions league game with Kotoko on Sunday.
