Wa Power Sporting Club off to A Winning Start against Walewale Catholic Stars

Wa based division one side, Wa Power Sporting Club are off to a winning start in the 2024/25 Access Bank Division One League with a victory against Walewale Catholic Stars on Sunday

The game which was played outside the region due to the disapproval of the Wa Malik Jabir Stadium saw Wa Power Sporting Club play their first home game in Naligeru

The side took a two goal lead through goals from Issahaku Wahid and Israel Iddrisu respectively before the half hour mark of the encounter to end the first half with a convincing lead

The opponent pulled a goal back with 20 minutes to play before a cynical tackle on goal scorer Issahaku Wahid to deny him a goal scoring opportunity led to a red card for the opposing side

Second half substitute, Mohammed Mabrouk added a cushioned goal tally to make it 3-1 for the host against the debutants
