GHANA PREMIER LEAGUE: Normalization Committee Set Dates for Start of 2019/2020 Season
Football came to a complete halt after Investigative Journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas Aired his expose on corruption in Ghana football.
The GFA President and some officials who were captured in the expose were suspended and the 2018/29 season was truncated. World football governing body FIFA then put in place a Normalization Committee to take in charge of Ghana football.
Though there’s an ongoing process by the NC to elect a President, Executive Council members and RFA Chairpersons, the Committee has however proposed 3rd November 2019 as the date for the start of the Ghana Premier League and the Division One League.
In a statement issued by the NC, the 2019/20 Football season will start on Saturday 3rd November and end on Sunday 14th June, 2020, spanning a period of 34weeks.
