Wa Power SC delegation led by Deputy CEO pays courtesy call on UW Regional Minister

The visit which included Club Chairman Mr. Osman Ibrahim, was necessitated by the Club’s success in the Upper West Division II league a month ago.

The Upper West Regional Minister Dr. Hafiz Bin Salih lauded the Team immensely for emerging victorious and urged them to put the map of the Region across the length and breadth of Ghana by qualifying for the Ghana Premier League.

He wrote on His official Facebook page, “Officials of the newly promoted Division One team, Wa Power Sporting Club paid a courtesy call on me in my office. They presented the trophy to me.

I congratulated them and wish them well in all their future endeavours. I supported them with a cash amount of Ghc10,000. The delegation was led by the Deputy Chief Executive of the club, Ms Nuhaila Issaka Koray.” He concluded.

Speaking of the Football in the Region, Dr. Hafiz Bin Salih announced that the Youth Resource Center at Wa-Dondoli is due for commissioning in few months time, this will boost the development of talents in the Upper West Region as well.

He also disclosed plans to organize a competition with a Winner’s Trophy for the three (3) Division One League Clubs when commissioning the facility.
