UWR D2 Middle League: A goal in each half gives Wa Power SC a 2-0 victory over Wa FC

The MatchDay 3 fixture proved to be the downfall of one of these two (2) Clubs with both having won their first two (2) matches.

Head Coach of Wa Power SC, Coach Kandumah John kept faith in his starting XI that defeated Hilla Stars 1-0 on Sunday, making no changes to his starting lineup.

Wa Power SC despite injuries to several key players started brightly and causing problems to the defense of Wa FC who had not conceded in their first two (2) Middle League matches.

They were finally rewarded with the opener from Youngster Seidu Musah in the 37th minute after some good works from Mohammed Mabrouk to lay the pass.

A temporary hold up early into the second half after some fans displeasure in the officiating warranted reinforcement of security personnel to ensure safety of match officials.

Wa Power SC doubled the lead upon resumption through Jerry Akaminko’s powerful header from a corner kick.

Two (2) games remain for each side with Wa Power SC playing Eva Stars on Thursday and Golden FC on Saturday. Wa FC will lock horns with Golden FC and Hilla Stars on Thursday and Saturday respectively.

In other MatchDay 3 results, Hilla Stars drew 2-2 with Eva Stars whiles Golden FC also continued their 100% record with a 3-2 win against Wa United.
