Ismail Abdul Ganiyu nominated for Home-based Footballer of the year

Kumasi Asante Kotoko Center back Ismail Abdul Ganiyu has been nominated for the prestigious Home-based footballer of the year in the Ghana football awards.

The Porcupine has been in spectacular form this season in the Ghana Premier League, earning him a place in the Black Stars previous two call ups where he made three appearances in total for the senior National Team.

The Kotoko 2nd vice captain has been nominated alongside six other players including teammate Fabio Gama, the Brazilian is the only foreigner in the list.

Abdul Ganiyu has four goals this season, all in the second round.
