GPL: Charles Taylor set to be named Ghana premier league side, Wa Allstars assistant coach

Ghana Premier League club Wa All Stars are set to appoint former Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak player, Charles Taylor as their assistant coach

According to the former player, he has commenced talks with Wa All Stars’ head coach and former Black Stars defender, John Paintsil to join the team as an assistant coach

Charles Taylor revealed to Ashh FM in Kumasi, that talks have reached the advanced stage and he could join the Wa based side but before he join the team, he has to seek approval from his spiritual father

“I’m currently in talks with John Paintsil to be the assistant coach for Wa All Stars”, Taylor told Ashh FM

“I’m waiting for an approval from my spiritual father (Prophet Badu Kofi) before I accept the assistant coaching role at Wa All Stars”

Charles Taylor was a key component in Hearts of Oak’s 64 Battalion squad that conquered Africa to lift the 2000 CAF Champions League and consecutive Ghana Premier League titles

Taylor was part of Black Satellites silver medal winning team in the 2001 Africa Youth Championship in Ethiopia

He has played for Great Olympics, Hearts of Oak, Asante Kotoko, Berekum Chelsea, Etoile du Sahel and Enugu Rangers in Nigeria before retirement
