Mohammed Salisu Makes Long Awaited Debut For Southampton FC

The Ghanaian Center back made his first appearance in English football 183 days after joining Southampton from Real Valladolid in Spanish La Liga.

Mohammed Salisu played 90 minutes of action against Wolves in the FA CUP 5th round game away at the Mollineux Stadium.

Southampton won the game 2-0 with goals from Danny Ings and Stuart Armstrong to send the Saints into the Quarter Final of the prestigious competition.

Salisu completed 48 of his 55 attempted passes representing 87%, made 8 clearances, 5 recoveries, won 5 duels and 1 interception to keep a clean sheet on the road.

Southampton will face Championship club AFC Bournemouth in the Quarter final.
