U-23 QUALIFIER: Black Meteors Embarrassing Traveling arrangement ahead of Algeria game

The Black Meteors on Sunday left the shores of Ghana to play the return leg of the CAF U-23 qualifier against the Fennec Foxes of Algeria.

The Ghanaians were held to a disappointing 1-1 draw at the Accra sports Stadium on Friday.

The team had tough times in their traveling arrangements as their 25 man squad was trimmed down to 18 as a result.

Top sports journalist Saddiq Adams tweeted with the handle @SaddiqAdams , a picture of what appears to be some members of the Technical Team boarding a taxi en route to the airport.

The picture is captioned “Black Meteors technical staff resort to taxi to airport ahead of Algeria trip”

The team was supposed to make a transit through Ivory Coast to Algiers. We can confirm they spent close to 5 hours in the Francophone country before finally departing.
