GFA PRESIDENCY: Former CEO of Ghana Minerals Commission Tony Aubynn to Contest?
A colossus has joined the Ghana Football Association Presidential race.
Former Chief Executive Officer of Ghana Minerals Commission who’s also a board member of Premier league side Medeama has declared his interest to contest the upcoming GFA election.
In an interview with Accra based radio station Angel fm in their flagship sports show he made it emphatically clear that he’s ready to contest for the GFA post.
Toni has a unique background in the extractives industry with over 20 years of experience in the sector. He had been member of a number Board of various institutions including, the University of Mines and Technology (UMaT), Ghana Railway Development Authority and a host of others.
Dr. Toni Aubynn’s declaration may surprised many people just like that of his fellow Doctor, Dr. Kwame Kyei the Executive Chairman of Kumasi Asante Kotoko who also came out earlier today through an envoy that he’s contesting.
The number of those who showed interest in contesting has now increased to seven as the likes of George Afriyie, Kurt Okraku, Winfred Osier Palmer, Fred Pappoe and Nana Yaw Amponsah.
