9 goals contribution in just 14 DOL games from Midfield, GPL Clubs should watch out for Abass Samari

The Attacking midfielder had a very productive season in the second tier for Young Apostles FC in Zone One where he turned out 16 times in all competitions this season, playing MTN 2 FA Cup games before his team was eliminated.

Abass Samari Salifu won a staggering 6 man of the match awards in the process with one in the MTN FA Cup while 5 of them came in Division One League.

The flamboyant playmaker provided 6 assists and scored 3 goals as Young Apostles finished 6th in the Division One League 2020/21 season with 40 points.

Despite playing less than half of the league games due to late registration and injury later in the season, the pacy and skillful midfielder contributed 31% of Young Apostles’ in Division One League. Young Apostles scored 29 goals all season, of which Abass Samari had a hand in 9.

The 17-year old can play on the wing, behind the striker or in front of the Defensive midfielders as his abilities on the pitch are numerous.

Abass Samari is brilliant one on one with no problem in beating his marker, very comfortable with the ball as it’s always glued to his feet.

The Teenage sensation is a dead ball specialist and also tracks back with the help of his pace and stamina to help teammates at the back.
